1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Mars Patrol Windows game published by Nevonix LLC, the Mars Patrol product page and privacy page on the Nevonix website, and related customer support.

Mars Patrol is designed as a local, single player game. It does not require a Nevonix account, does not contain online chat or multiplayer features, and does not transmit game play content to Nevonix.

2. Information handled by the game

2.1 Personal information

Mars Patrol does not ask for or collect a player name, email address, physical address, precise location, contacts, payment card information, advertising identifier, or other information that directly identifies a player.

2.2 Local settings and preferences

Mars Patrol stores settings and preferences locally on the Windows device so the game can remember the configuration selected by the player. This information may include display preferences, sound settings, control settings, game options, and other local configuration data.

Local settings remain on the device unless they are removed by the player, Windows, or an uninstall or cleanup process. Depending on Windows settings, local application data may also be included in operating system backup or synchronization features controlled by Microsoft and the user.

2.3 No advertising or behavioral tracking

Mars Patrol does not display third party advertising and does not use advertising networks, behavioral profiling, tracking pixels, or in game analytics services.

2.4 Device permissions

Mars Patrol does not require access to the camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, or personal document folders. The game accesses its installed resources and its local configuration data as needed to operate.

3. Microsoft Store purchases and licensing

When Mars Patrol is purchased, downloaded, licensed, updated, or reviewed through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft processes the Store account, payment, licensing, device, download, and diagnostic information needed to provide those services.

Nevonix does not receive or store full payment card numbers, card security codes, or Microsoft account passwords. Nevonix may receive sales reports, transaction summaries, crash information, ratings, reviews, and other publisher information made available through Microsoft Partner Center. Microsoft's handling of that information is governed by Microsoft's own privacy terms.

4. Support communications and website information

4.1 Support

If a user contacts Nevonix for support, Nevonix receives the information the user chooses to provide, such as a name, email address, screenshots, system information, diagnostic details, and the contents of the support request.

4.2 Website logs

The Nevonix website and hosting providers may receive ordinary technical information such as an IP address, browser type, operating system, request time, requested page, and server response information. This information is used for security, reliability, and website operation.

5. How information is shared

Mars Patrol does not sell personal information. Information provided through support or generated through website use may be shared only as reasonably necessary with service providers that support website hosting, email, security, customer support, or business operations.

Nevonix may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business.

6. Security and retention

Nevonix uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information received through support and website operations. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Support communications and related records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, provide support, prevent abuse, comply with legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.

7. Children's privacy

Mars Patrol does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the game. A parent or guardian who believes that a child has submitted personal information through a support request may contact Nevonix to request review or deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements.

8. Choices and privacy rights

Players may remove Mars Patrol through Windows and may delete local game settings using applicable Windows file and application management features.

A user may contact Nevonix to request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible personal information previously provided through customer support. Nevonix may need to verify the requester's identity and may retain records when required for legal, accounting, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

8.1 Changes to this policy

Nevonix may update this Privacy Policy when Mars Patrol, Microsoft Store requirements, Nevonix services, or applicable laws change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
